Oral Pathology Deck
Study App
OralPathologyDeck is an iOS study app I designed and built to organize and present over 260 oral pathologies in a clear, structured flashcard format. My focus was on creating an efficient information architecture that supports different study workflows through features such as Swipe, Search, Content navigation, Bookmarks, and customizable study notifications. The goal was to reduce cognitive load and allow users to move fluidly through dense clinical material.
On the technical side, I implemented a local JSON content repository that loads once and distributes data across the UI, ensuring high performance, minimal load times, and smooth navigation even with a large dataset. I defined a consistent design system with fixed top and bottom bars, a stable typographic hierarchy, and a restrained color palette to create a calm and focused study environment.
Visually, I aimed to make complex pathology content approachable and comfortable to study for long periods. I used a card-based layout, soft blue tones, subtle shadows, and generous spacing to establish a clinical yet modern aesthetic. Flashcards balance text, imagery, and white space to highlight key diagnostic elements, while icons, labels, and micro-interactions follow a cohesive visual language that reinforces clarity and reduces friction.
I also developed the visual identity for the product, including the logo and branding system, aligning it with the app’s academic and contemporary tone. In parallel, I designed and built the landing page, extending the app’s visual language to the web and presenting its core features, study value, and overall system in a clear and SEO-optimized structure.
This ensures visual and functional continuity between the product experience and its online presence.
